Skill Improvements and Loggable Time

Once the domain of government agencies, airlines, and corporate flight departments, the exponential growth in computing power over the last two decades has now made this previously exclusive level of simulation technology available for general aviation applications.

Having received FAA certification as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), certain tasks and training are loggable:

Maintaining Instrument Currency:

(i) Execute and log six Instrument approaches within the previous six months .

(ii) Holding procedures and tasks.

(iii) Intercepting and tracking courses through the use of navigational electronic systems.

In addition, the following times are also loggable:

  • Up to 20 Hours of experience toward an Instrument Rating.
  • Up to 2.5 hours toward a Private Pilot Certificate.
  • Up to 50 hours toward a Commercial Certificate.
  • Up to 25 hours toward an ATP Certificate.
